Team captains will meet before the season begins to discuss rules and procedures. |

USGA rules govern play except as modified by local rules. |

League matches will be four-ball matches, scored on an 18 point system (1 point per hole). |

To be eligible to play team, players must::
a) Have a handicap based on the USGA system of handicapping.
b) A player may not play at an index higher than 30.4 in a match.
c) Any female 18 years old may play on team, providing she is a member of the Women's
Golf Association at her participating club. |

Scheduled matches should start no later than 8:30 a.m. unless agreed upon by both captains. Coffee, juice and goodies must be available before tee off. Lunch is at the players’ expense. |

Each club shall have a team captain (co-captains if desired) who may place her players at her discretion, providing she follows Rule #7 on positioning of player. |

The team from each club shall consist of the 14 lowest handicap players available* from each club on the day of the match*available player is one who signed up at the beginning of the season and has committed to be available for the majority of the team matches(5) If a sub is needed the Captain would go to her sub list and determine the next lowest handicap available to fill the vacant spot. The lowest 8 payers must play in the first 4 positions, the remaining 6 in the last 3 positions at the discretion of the captain. Every effort should be exhausted to send a full team of 14 players. If a club has less that 14 players before the day of the match a single player must play in one of the bottom 3 positions. However, if 14 players are not available on the day of the match, any and/or all players may play alone in any position. |

Captains should encourage her players to make the commitment to play a majority of matches. |

The visiting captain is responsible for calling the home captain on Tuesday to exchange mutual lineups so that the cards will be in order on the morning of the match.. |

Players will play at 85% handicap of that week’s Monday standing. Handicap indexes are to be first converted (sloped) to the home course and then reduced to 85%. Low handicap of the 4-some plays at “scratch”. The team score is the aggregate of the 7 pairs. |

Cellular phones are prohibited in all league tournaments and team play. Breach of this during team play will result the in the offending player being out of the hole. There is no limit to the number of holes the offender can be penalized. |

GPS devices are allowed during a stipulated round, for Distance Only in league tournament and team play. However if a players used a device that is designed to gague or measures other conditions that might affect her play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.) the player is in breach of USGA Rule 14-3 for which the penalty is disqualification regardless of whether any such additional funtions are actually used.

The home captain will call or e-mail the Publicity Chairperson by 3:30 PM with the results of that days’ match. The signed result sheet then needs to be mailed to the Publicity Chairperson. The Publicity Chairperson shall e-mail the match results to all the captains in a timely fashion. |

Postponed matches- A postponed match is a match where 9 holes have not been completed. The postponement of a match is to be decided by the superintendent and/or captains. Postponed matches will be replayed on the first available date at the home course. The match shall be replayed in its entirety. |

Interrupted Matches- An interrupted match is one in which all players have played at least 9 holes. If the course is still unplayable after one hour’s interruption, the match will be considered complete and the points for any unplayed holes will be divided equally . |

In case of inclement weather or poor course conditions, if a course is deemed open and the course superintendent allows carts, the match will be played. |

If a player is late, matches will tee off as usual. The late player may join the group at any time during the match without penalty. |
| 18. |
Slow Play Rule- It is the entire foursomes’ responsibility to maintain pace with the group ahead of them. Players may be reported for slow play to the team captain who in turn will report to the Team Decision Committee. The foursome shall be warned:
1st offense: Verbal warning
2nd offense: Written warning
3rd offense: Unable to participate in remaining matches for the season

At the conclusion of the match, team captains will collect the score cards from her team players and post them promptly. |

If two or more teams have equal points at the end of the season, there shall be an 18 hole playoff to determine the winner. Every effort should be made to play the match at a neutral site. |

The Team decision Committee shall arbitrate all problems that may arise concerning any team matches that are not otherwise clarified by the USGA rules. The Committee shall consist of one team captain from each club and the league president . |

A player on the winning team must have played at least 3 times to receive a championship pin. |
